The atmospheric Advent oratorio “Gott will im Dunkel wohnen”, published by Strube Verlag, captivates audiences with its profound theological depth and musical warmth. In this versatile chamber version, the work unfolds its magic within an intimate setting: four vocal soloists (SATB) and a four-part mixed choir (SATB) engage in a moving dialogue with a rich piano quartet consisting of violin, viola, cello, and piano. This reduced instrumentation offers church choirs and smaller ensembles a wonderful opportunity to perform a touching Advent oratorio without compromising on sonic richness or festive brilliance. This piano score provides the ideal basis for rehearsals and inspiring performances—a radiant musical highlight for Advent concerts and services.
