Description:
Composer Hyun Kook captures the warmth, beauty, and dreamlike quality of childhood memories in this evocative setting. Major harmonies blend with touches of the whole-tone scale, creating a gentle atmosphere tinged with mystery and nostalgia. The poem follows a return home after a long absence, where familiar mountains, birds, flowers, and sky remain, yet the home remembered from childhood can never be fully recovered. Together, text and music offer a poignant reflection on memory, home, and the passage of time.
