Description:
Martin Warshkov has arranged one of the most successful hits of the British rock band Genesis, "Invisible Touch", for mixed choir. The number one in the charts, released in 1986 on the album of the same name, still inspires today - and not only those who are catapulted back to their youth by this song. It tells the story of a woman who exudes a great attraction that you can't escape.
The arrangement plays with an often rapid change of melody between the choir voices, especially the two female voices. On the one hand, this can be a certain challenge, but on the other hand, it also brings special sonic effects and variety. The intensity and sonic power of the rock song can be implemented in this arrangement for pop choir through articulation, dynamics and timing. The arc of suspense finally reaches its climax in an additional division of the two female voices in the last chorus.
