The choir book "Loreley. Volkslieder für gemischten Chor SATB" presents 147 songs in stylistically diverse arrangements. Around two thirds of the movements have been written especially for this choir book by renowned composers. In addition to examples in traditional harmonization, there are jazzy arrangements (e.g. Matthias E. Becker, Peter Schindler, Bernd Englbrecht) as well as movements with other modern, clever stylistic elements (e.g. Sylke Zimpel, John Hoybye, Theo Brandmüller). It is particularly appealing that composers from Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Lithuania, among others, have also made contributions - this guarantees a wide range of styles. In addition to the new compositions, the choir book contains famous folk song arrangements by Romantic composers (e.g. Brahms, Silcher, Reger) as well as tried and tested movements by contemporary composers (e.g. Helmut Barbe, Wolfram Buchenberg, Hans Schanderl, Volker Wangenheim). Double arrangements have been chosen for some of the folk songs, so that a historical and a modern setting are not only available as alternatives, but perhaps also invite you to practise alternate arrangements. / - For mixed choir SATB - Old and new, well-known and unknown movements by renowned composers from various countries - 123 fresh, sonorous movements - Inexpensive choral edition available
