Description:
Edition: wind instrument score trumpet in B flat
In eight short movements, Johannes Matthias Michel sets the texts to music, whereby the three chorale verses by Eugen Eckert "Gott ist es, der mich bergen wird" (It is God who will save me) alternate constantly with the psalm settings. "A performance with all the music groups of a congregation is always uplifting, especially when children and adults make music together. This piece offers an opportunity to do so, and a good one at that. It is easy to realize. The children's choir passages are catchy and melodious and are repeated in such a way that the learning effort is limited. The choral writing also never exceeds a medium level of difficulty, and most trombone choirs should be able to meet the demands of this piece." (Württ. Blätter, 3/2009)
