Description:
The Mass of the Resurrection is a liturgical work that invites contemplation and celebration of Christ's victory over death. Structured around the four main traditional parts of the Mass, this composition highlights the spiritual power and grandeur of the Easter event. Through rich harmonies and dynamic rhythms, the work unfolds with increasing intensity, guiding the listener on a moving musical journey.
Kyrie: The Mass opens with an intense, solemn supplication, in which the human voice, in all its fragility, implores divine mercy and comfort. The Kyrie is set in an atmosphere of prayer, preparing the heart for the glory to come.
Gloria: Ecstasy and light characterize this second section, where the soul rises to sing God's infinite praise. The use of majestic choruses and harmonious modulations expresses the joy of salvation and the glorification of the Resurrection.
Sanctus: In this section, divine purity and grandeur are brought to the fore. The Sanctus is a hymn of sanctification, a song of adoration that elevates the soul to the divine presence. The musical expression echoes God's transcendence, revealing his infinite holiness.
Agnus Dei: The final part, Agnus Dei, is a prayer of offering, peace and reconciliation. It refers to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. This calm, meditative movement brings the Mass to a close in profound serenity, underlining the hope and peace brought by Christ's resurrection.
