Die MESSE DER HOFFNUNG für Chor, 3-4 Bläser, Klavier, Rhythmusgruppe u. Gemeinde (ad lib.) enthält die Sätze Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Agnus Dei mit den deutschen Originaltexten der Messliturgie. In den Texten der zusätzlichen Sätze Zum Einzug, Während der Gabenbereitung, Danklied und Zum Schluss sowie in den Kyrie-Tropen bringt Veronika Krayer in ihrer ganz persönlichen Sprache zum Ausdruck, welche Kraft auch in unserer Zeit von der Hoffnung ausgeht. Musikalisch gelingt es Reimund Hess, in den - einschliesslich zweier Instrumentalstücke - insgesamt 12 Sätzen der Messe die Vielfalt aktueller rhythmischer Gestaltung mit der für ihn charakteristischen harmonischen Farbigkeit ausdrucksstark und mitreissend zu verbinden. Die Messe eignet sich für Gottesdienste und Konzerte (auch nur mit Chor und Klavier). Mit dem Auftraggeber und Uraufführungschor 'Sparkling Joy', Göppingen, Ltg.: KMD Thomas Gindele, wurde sie u. a. mehrfach beim Ökumenischen Kirchentag München 2010 aufgeführt und mit Begeisterung aufgenommen. 1.200 Sängerinnen und Sänger singen sie 2011 beim Diözesanjugendchortag der Diözese Rottenburg.
