Description:
This mass comprises the parts of the Ordinary Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus Dei: however, it is not composed according to the Latin texts, but describes a meaningful idea of what is behind the old texts, i.e. what can be heard from the old texts. - The texts are characterized by simple piety, and their settings were given an individual musical arrangement in the range of different styles (e.g. Swingle Singers, ABBA, No Angels). Any choir that enjoys pop music and has a few members who also enjoy performing as soloists will be happy to take on this task. This is a work that is suitable for making the church service understandable as an inviting and renewing event to a circle of people less reached by church music. In this respect, this mass is suitable for congregational events, youth services, confirmations and church congresses.
