Description:
The Missa BonAventura for three-part mixed choir SAB and organ, piano or keyboard was composed by Thomas Thurnher out of gratitude for his happy family life. This Latin Mass is named after Saint Bonaventure, an important preacher, philosopher and mystic; in addition, the meaning of the word of the title – "good way", "good fate" and "good adventure" – fits Thurnher's core idea exactly.
The Mass is based on the Ordinary, supplemented by a Hallelujah with Coda, in which the congregation can also sing along. Easy to sing, at the same time extremely sonorous and very concise with its duration of only about 15 minutes, it is ideally suited for many choirs and occasions.
