What does it sound like when Percy Whitlock composes while on vacation in Paris? This is the scene the popular composer Christopher Tambling had in mind when he wrote this extraordinary mass. It is permeated by elements and moods of French Romantic church music from Widor and Vierne to Duruflé, as well as those of the English Romantic composers Elgar, Whitlock and others, whom he admired so much.
