Mozart's Missa in C K. 317, composed in 1779 and known as the "Coronation Mass", is one of the most popular settings of the mass text due to its festive character and rich variety of musical ideas. The arrangement for soloists, choir and organ created from the original text of the work in the "New Mozart Edition" now makes it accessible in its full beauty of sound for choirs and choir groups with limited financial resources. The "concert-ready" organ part, which Martin Focke has derived from the orchestral setting, does full justice to the original in terms of sound.
