Description:
The name "Credo Mass" is derived from the "Credo" calls that repeatedly interrupt the corresponding movement. Composed at the end of 1776, the mass impresses with its wealth of invention condensed into a very small space. At the same time, the instrumental accompaniment takes on almost chamber music-like qualities, which repeatedly develop into almost symphonic independence. The arrangement is closely oriented to these special features of the orchestral writing and offers an independent and coherent version as a result. The solo and choral parts naturally leave the original text of the "New Mozart Edition" untouched.
