Description:
Commissioned by Durham University on the occasion of its 175th anniversary in 2007. The world premiere took place on December 10th, 2007 at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London by Durham University Choir, conducted by Jeremy Dibble. The text comes from a prayer that appears above the tomb of St. Bede in the Durham Cathedral. For advanced ensembles. Duration: 3' Christ is the morning star, who when the night of this world is past brings to his saints the promise of the light of life and opens everlasting day.
