Description:
Chris Artley's "Now Let Us Sing the Angel's Song" is a joyful Christmas carol with a catchy and very singable melody in 7/8 time, accompanied by a lively, jazzy piano part. The song also features contemplative, unaccompanied verses sung in four-part harmony and concludes with a brilliant high register. This piece is sure to be a festive addition to your Christmas program.
David Squire, who conducted the world premiere and was named "Most Inspiring Conductor" at the last Eisteddfod competition, wrote the following about this composition: "Chris’s setting of this wonderful Christmas poem is full of joy, beautifully reflects the character of each verse, and gives the singers the opportunity to experience powerful unisons, muted vocal passages, and soaring high notes."
