Description:
Bring festive splendour and historical colour to your concert programme! The traditional Christmas carol "Personent hodie", published by the renowned Oxford University Press, captivates with its stirring rhythm and celebratory character. Set for mixed choir (SATB) and keyboard (organ or piano), this versatile arrangement offers wonderful performance flexibility: alongside modern instrumentation, it unfolds an extraordinary, archaic charm when performed with a period ensemble of recorder, three crumhorns, sackbut, psaltery, lute, and tabor. Instrumental material is available on hire. A magnificent musical highlight for Advent and Christmas that is sure to delight both choir and audience alike!
