The work Rasa (Dew) was commissioned by the mixed choir of the University of Latvia, "Juventus", to celebrate the choir's 100th anniversary. The main idea of the composition is about a new beginning in time and space, which is often expressed in Latvian folksongs by the presence of dew. "Dew" is a rhythmically active and vivacious piece with a lyrical middle section. The sound of voices in the piece is complemented by a percussion instrument - a folk drum.
