Description:
Robert Schumann's moving 'Requiem für Mignon' Op. 98b ('Wen bringt ihr uns zur stillen Gesellschaft') is one of the most poignant vocal masterworks of the Romantic era. Inspired by Goethe's novel 'Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship', Schumann created a deeply touching farewell filled with tender poetry, sorrow, and uplifting hope. Published by the renowned Edition Peters, this edition serves as both a vocal score and piano reduction. Scored for solo voices (SSAAB), mixed choir (SATB), and piano, it provides an exceptional foundation for thorough rehearsals as well as intimate, expressive performances. An indispensable addition to the repertoire of ambitious choirs and ensembles wishing to bring Schumann's emotional depth to life.
