Description:
The Restituta Mass was created to mark the 60th anniversary of the death of Sr. Maria Restituta (Helene Kafka), who devoted her life to her faith and to a free Austria. She was executed by the Nazis in Vienna on March 30, 1943, and was beatified in 1998 by Pope John Paul II as Austria’s first martyr.
The lyrics of the Mass movements do not specifically refer to Sr. Restituta. The songs are equally suitable for all types of worship services and church celebrations. The melodic and memorable Mass allows for numerous performance variations in terms of instrumental accompaniment and is therefore exceptionally versatile. The congregation can also be involved. For this reason, the edition includes a part for congregational singing as a photocopiable template.
Full score, softcover.
