Rise Up and Meet the Day

This upbeat celebration of music captures the joy, energy, and uplift that communal singing can inspire with a nod to gospel style. Filled with bright rhythms, syncopation that accentuates the natural text stress, and lyrics that serve as an ode to the power of music itself, the work invites all to "rise up" into its message of hope and renewal. Accessible vocal writing and infectious momentum make the piece rewarding for developing choirs, while the driving spirit and exuberant refrain create a powerful emotional lift. Vibrant, spirited, and full of shine, this composition makes an outstanding concert closer that will leave your audience energized and smiling long after the final chord.
