Felix Bräuer, born in 1988, created an extraordinary choral work with this Magnificat. There are many settings of Mary's song of praise from the Gospel of Luke, but this edition is unmistakable due to its two languages.
The Sorbs are the smallest Slavic people and a recognized minority in eastern Germany. Their language is regionally divided into Lower and Upper Sorbian. In order to facilitate a better understanding of the text, this edition of sheet music has been published in two languages. It contains an Upper Sorbian and a German version of the Magnificat.
