Description:
This choral version of the song Sometime I Sing was made at the suggestion of Jeffrey Skidmore, who directed the first performances with the Ex Cathedra choir at their Christmas Music by Candlelight series of concerts, December 2013 (optional accompaniment: guitar (or lute or harp or keyboard, sounding one octave lower).
The original version forms part of the song cycle My Lute and I (Edition Peters EP72951), settings of poems by Thomas Wyatt for tenor and guitar, composed for Mark Padmore and Morgan Szymanski, and first performed at the Chapel, Lulworth Castle, Dorset, 13 July 2011.
The choral version of Sometime I Sing is most effective if sung unaccompanied. If required, it may be performed with the optional accompaniment of guitar or other instruments, as shown in the score.
