Description:
Church musicians are always looking for a 'new twist' on an old theme. Here are the words to a beloved spiritual in a haunting new setting. Robert Lau's original melody maintains the mournful and overwhelming emotion of the traditional, and the addition of Christ's last words from the cross emphasize the tremendous pain and grief of those final hours. Were You There? is a moving and dramatic anthem for Lent or Holy Week.
