Description:
Certainly, "Why Should I cry for you" is not one of the best-known pieces by the British musician Sting. Nevertheless – or perhaps because of this – the arranger has made a choice with this song that can enrich any concert. Band, percussion and Sting's vocals are not missing in this arrangement, quite the opposite: the a cappella instrumentation even seems to give the piece even more intimacy and expression. The rhythmic elements are also cleverly accommodated in the voices, which picks up on the pulsation of the original without being bold and obtrusive. A ballad that is many things at the same time: fragile, powerful and permeated by a harmonious shimmer.
