Description:
A hit from the '80s by Udo Lindenberg.
You could call this song an "anti-war tearjerker" or a "sappy, kitschy ballad," but the fact is that the lyrics are timeless and remain relevant time and again. From a child’s perspective (originally sung by Pascal Kravetz in 1981), Udo Lindenberg criticizes why people have to die in wars, the deployment of nuclear missiles, and the money-grubbing arms industry. Does this topic sound familiar to you? The lyrics are set to a catchy tune that moves you more deeply than "Ein bisschen Frieden" does. A MUST for every choir—to be sung with or without children’s voices.
