With "Adamantis," the Franconian composer Thomas Meusert has created a concert march dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Musikverein Stammheim 1966 e. V. The title is derived from the Latin "adamantis" and symbolizes endurance, strength, and unity—values that have shaped a successful music association across generations. From the very beginning, the march exudes a powerful and positive energy. Traditional march elements blend with concertante timbres and a modern musical language. Sophisticatedly crafted parts across all registers provide variety without compromising playability. A striking bass solo sets expressive accents before the catchy trio, with its memorable melody, musically reflects the association’s spirit of community. The festive concluding section combines richness of sound and radiance into a dignified finale. For Thomas Meusert, "Adamantis" is also a very personal work: as a native son of the music association and its long-time conductor, he shares a deep connection with the organization.
