Description:
Roméo et Juliette is an opera in five acts by Charles Gounod to a French libretto based on "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare. The opera is notable for the series of four duets for the main characters and the Waltz Song "Je veux vivre". This aria is sung in the first act of the opera by Juliette: When others speak of marriage to her, Juliette sings that she would like to live inside her dream where it is eternally spring.
