Dedicated to the Arunda sparkling wine cellar in Mölten, the concert march Arunda musically reflects their claim to quality, maturity and character. Just as the sparkling wine, which has been produced there since 1979 at an altitude of 1200 metres, matures to perfection over many months after classic bottle fermentation, Florian Plattner's march also unfolds with a powerful beginning, varied thematic work and tonal sophistication. Lively rhythms and striking motifs characterize the outer parts, while in the trio a calm, vocal melody - carried by an expressive tenor horn solo - provides warmth and contrast. A fanfare-like transition builds up the tension again and leads into a radiant tutti that ends the march brilliantly. In the combination of classical concert march tradition with modern accents, a work is created that both challenges musicians and offers the audience a lasting, enjoyable sound experience.
