Description:
Since 2019, the idyllic forest festival site in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal (Tyrol) has become the venue for a very special musical highlight: the festival "Blechlawine". With the idea of creating a small but fine brass music festival that stands for coziness and the highest quality, a platform for brass music enthusiasts was created that unites tradition and modernity. Among the fixed stars of the festival is the formation "Viera Blech", which has the honor of performing at the "Blechlawine" year after year. Inspired by this special connection, organizer Gerhard Meister came up with a remarkable idea: to commission a polka that musically captures the unique flair of the "Blechlawine". The resulting polka impressively reflects the soul of the festival - it is cozy, high-quality, traditional and modern, varied and emotional. These characteristics also aptly describe the composition by Martin Scharnagl, the specialist in sensitive and unmistakable polkas. With the polka "Blechlawine", another musical gem joins his oeuvre. Like the successful predecessors "Zeitlos" and "Neue Wege", this work also convinces with Scharnagl's typical signature and the unmistakable style of "Viera Blech". The polka is further proof of how wonderfully brass music can touch and inspire - a true feast for the ears for lovers and festival visitors alike. The polka can be heard on the anniversary CD of Viera Blech "20" (20 years of Viera Blech). Note: The audio sample is the version by VIERA BLECH, not the wind orchestra version!
