Description:
Campus uses a simple language and not complex orchestration. Its structure is a magnified form of the classical A-B-A format. The introduction is followed by the two main themes in section A. A short modulating bridge leads into B. This is a gently expressive central section that also contains two themes. The re-introduction of the first of the two themes - in a major key and initially played by the brass section before moving to tutti - brings us back to section A and the first theme reworked in a lighter more carefree manner. closes on a festive note with a coda clearly inspired by the introductory section.
