Description:
Cogwheels & Steam was inspired by the so-called "steampunk" movement. Steampunk describes an idea of the future from the perspective of the Victorian era, in which modern technologies are based on steam engines and cogwheel mechanics.
The steampunk movement originated mainly in literature, with authors such as Jules Verne and H.G. Wells in particular coining the term and the idea of modern technology paired with impressions and elements of the past.
The work describes the idea of a fantasizing inventor who wants to build a flying machine. In the first part, we find ourselves in the machine developed for this purpose, before we follow the inventor's visions of making the impossible possible in the second part. In the third part, the adventure begins and the question arises as to whether the machine will actually take off.
