An opportunity to bring the timbre and expressive qualities of the oboe to the fore. Here too, the three-movement structure - Allegro, Andante, Allegro - creates a balanced path between technique, lyricism and dialogue with the ensemble.
After those for saxophone, trombone (or euphonium), trumpet and flute, Pusceddu composed the Concertino for Oboe; as in the previous works, the band part is of medium difficulty, while the solo part requires a good technical level. The composition follows the classical Allegro-Andante-Allegro form. The work is dedicated to the oboist Roberta Deiana, friend and collaborator of the composer.
