Description:
Concretum, from the Latin word meaning “grow together”, was composed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Corpo Musicale Valboite”, based in Borca di Cadore, a small town in the Alto Bellunese region of Italy. The music describes two important moments in the history of this young band: its founding, in the notes of the opening fanfare and, in the second part, its musical development portrayed by the theme arranged in anthem form. But the present is built on the past and the slow musical crescendo is a blending of memories of the past (the notes of the fanfare) with the band’s experience gained over the years.
