Description:
Classical composers who have used csardas themes in their works include Emmerich Kalman, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Leo Delibes, Johann Strauss, Pablo de Sarasate, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and others. But probably the best-known csardas is the composition for Viollin and Orchestra by Vittorio Monti: a traditional Hungarian folk dance originated in Hungary and played by almost every gypsy orchestra. In this transcription is the solo part played by the Alto Saxophone.
