She often spoke of how she missed waltzing with her husband, Lamar Poole—a memory that inspired this piece. Its graceful melody and lilting rhythm capture the motion of spider lilies swaying in a summer breeze, while June and Lamar seem to dance once more among the flowers, their love echoed in every turn of the waltz.
