Description:
The River God 'Danuvius,' is the inspiration for this fanfare from the Upper-Austrian composer Thomas Asanger. He is also the name giver for the Donau (Danube), the second longest and biggest river in Europe. This eponymous composition was written in 2010 and was commissioned by the Upper- and Lower Austrian regional exhibition 'Danube: Curse and Blessing.' It was premiered by the Sankt Pantaleon Concert Band (Lower-Austria). Asanger's fanfare is the perfect piece for inaugurations and festivities. It can also be performed by small concert bands.
