The song was introduced to the Field Band Foundation by trumpet player and board member Brian Thusi. Brian Thusi, (jazz trumpet player from Durban), has been a mainstay in South African jazz circles, spreading his talents between teaching and development programs and performing locally and internationally. Brian has been presented with a Mayor's Award for Excellence in Achievement. He was acknowledged for his special and exceptional contribution to the music of the city through his development initiatives. Many of his students have gone on to achieve national and international recognition.
