Reverberating ostinatos in the bass line represent crackling bursts of current while intricate moving lines of woodwinds and mallet percussion reflect the motion of electrons darting about. Adding to the overall effect are sounds of intense lightning strikes provided by thick and explosive low brass chords while the percussion section generates electrical energy sounds throughout.
