Elegy for the Alaskan Tundra

Elegy for the Alaskan Tundra is a sonic tribute to one of the planet’s most fragile and extraordinary landscapes. Inspired by the tundra’s surreal floor of mosses and lichens—and by its rapid decline in a warming world—the piece reflects on a century of environmental change and the uncertain future ahead. With its blend of beauty, urgency, and quiet grief, the work honors what survives, laments what may be lost, and calls listeners to consider their own connection to a biome whose fate mirrors that of the Earth itself.
