Description:
Espresso Macchiato is an English-language and Italian-language song by Estonian artist Tommy Cash. With the song, he represents Estonia at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel and achieves third place. That does not stop the song from ranking high in the international charts. The English-language song, peppered with Italian words, plays with stereotypes and cultural references to Italy. Topics such as Italian cuisine, coffee culture and the mafia are addressed satirically. The text includes phrases like Ciao bella, I am Tommaso, addicted to tobacco. Mi like mi coffè very importante. No time to talk, scusi, my days are very busy, and I am the owner of this little ristorante. The English phrases are phonetically adapted to an Italian accent. The arrangement for concert band, fanfare and brass band was written by Frank Bernaerts.
