The work was composed in memory of Ralph Lenssen and dedicated to the Royal Harmony Orchestra St. Philomena Chevremont, which looks back on an impressive musical history with this anniversary. At the heart of the composition is an intensely lyrical melody that runs like a red thread through the entire work. This musical core is constantly illuminated, deepened and transformed, creating a rich and multi-layered sound world. In the course of the piece, an expressive journey full of subtle and fascinating twists unfolds. The harmony orchestra is used in all its facets: from intimate, transparent passages to full, solemn soundscapes. This interplay creates a field of tension in which musicality, balance and timbre are central.
