Nathan Hervey

Everyday Heroes

With a cinematic flair and heartfelt sincerity, Everyday Heroes by Nathan Hervey is a powerful tribute to the men and women who serve our communities each day—military personnel, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and others who place themselves in harm's way to protect others.

Set in the keys of B♭ and A♭ major, the work blends compound meter with moments in 4/4 and 3/4 to create rhythmic variety and drive. A bold, heroic theme opens the piece with the energy of a film score, while a lyrical middle section offers a moment of reflection and remembrance for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. With soaring melodies, rich harmonies, and a stirring conclusion, Everyday Heroes delivers a message of gratitude and strength—ideal for concert or commemorative performances.
