Description:
Dedicated to the Musikverein "Eintracht" Konzen 1874 e.V. on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. The Rhinelander likes to let it rip. After all, you have to celebrate the festivals as they fall. In the Eifel region, brass band music is also a must. Because nothing works without music. This is especially true for the village of Konzen, located on the northern edge of the Eifel between the Eifel National Park and the German-Belgian "Hohes Venn" nature park. With around 2400 inhabitants, Konzen has an extremely lively village and club life. A total of 14 clubs organize a varied programme for young and old throughout the year. In 2024, the village's oldest association, the Musikverein "Eintracht" Konzen 1874 e.V., will be organizing the next big festival. We have every right to be proud of our 150th anniversary. Founded by five war veterans to foster camaraderie and sociability, we still adhere to these principles today, in keeping with Rhineland tradition, and are one of the largest and oldest music clubs in the entire Eifel region. After a workshop for the 145th anniversary in 2019, a good friendship developed with Kurt Gäble. Gradually, the idea for our own polka for the big 150th anniversary developed. Kurt has an excellent grasp and knowledge of human nature and hit the heart of the Konzen musicians with the polka and its title. We wish all the other bands lots of fun and unforgettable celebrations with the "Festkracher (Schnellpolka)". LET IT RIP! ... and should a part not be played quite right, always remember the words of Kurt Gäble: "There are no wrong notes. It's just not the right note at the right time!" Or as the Eifel people say: "Et hätt noch jot jejange." With musical greetings Musikverein "Eintracht" Konzen 1874 e.V. Stephan Förster (Chairman)
