Description:
The Fledermaus-Polka is one of six dance arrangements on themes from Johann Strauss' operetta "Die Fledermaus". It received its première in 1874 at the Theater an der Wien and according of the newspapers of those days the polka was received with 'lively applause', 'Played twice' and 'had a sparkling effect on ear and foot'.
