With "Forever close", flugelhorn player Tizian Foag gives us a moving ballad that brings people together - regardless of time and distance. This idea gave rise to a work that is carried over long distances like a gentle greeting and makes a touching closeness palpable. The very first bars - calm and carried by a soft flugelhorn melody - open up a sound space full of warmth. Step by step, the musical motif unfolds, moves through all registers and builds up to an impressive climax. A sensitive trombone solo adds a special highlight before the music comes to rest in a contemplative finale. The sheet music edition for intermediate orchestra, arranged by the composer himself, has been published in the series "Original sheet music by the Feststadelmusikanten". It is available as a 7-piece orchestration (optionally with trombones) as well as in a wind orchestra version and impresses with its expressive yet easy-to-play orchestration.
