Description:
With the polka "Greetings from Trimmelkam," Austrian composer Johann Amerhauser has created a musical tribute to his hometown, located between Salzburg and Burghausen. In 2022, he dedicated the composition to the Trimmelkam Miners’ Band, with which he had close ties for many decades as an active musician. "Gruß aus Trimmelkam" is firmly rooted in the tradition of Bohemian brass music, yet continually surprises with sophisticated technical elements and varied musical ideas. The catchy trio melody, in particular, is truly earworm-like and lingers in the memory for a long time. Pavol Prostredný is responsible for the rich-sounding arrangement. The Czech flugelhornist, composer, and arranger adds the finishing touches to the work with his flair for authentic Bohemian timbres. A polka full of love for one’s homeland, joy of playing, and musical warmth.
