Hey Brother became famous through the Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii (Tim Bergling) and appears on his debut album True, released in 2013. The song is composed by Tim Bergling, Salem al Fakir, Veronica Maggio, Vincent Pontare and Ash Pournouri and has got some similarities with Hela huset, which had just been written by Salem al Fakir for Veronica Maggio. The music video for "Hey Brother" contains images and clips from the Vietnam War and depicts two brothers growing up during that time. At the end of the video it is uncovered that the younger brother looks at his older brother, who died in the war, as the father figure he never had.
