Giovanni Gabrieli (1557-1612) was like his uncle and teacher Andrea, one of the developers of the Venetian antiphonal style. He also was a student by Orlando di Lasso and took the antiphonal style to Rome and Germany. 'Hodie Christus natus est' is a Christmas song by Gabrielli composed for two choirs. Dutch arranger Andre Bodin arranged this song for Brass Ensemble in two choirs.
