The Horn Concerto No. 2 for horn and wind orchestra is in a traditional three-movement form, with overall rather tonal harmony, but in the immediately recognizable and characteristic tonal language of the composer Anthony Plog, characterized by extended chromaticism and effective, kaleidoscopic rhythmic and tonal layering.
