Description:
This work is a set of three independent, contrasting pieces, each inspired by paintings of scenes along New York's Hudson River. In the first movement, a quiet opening gives way to a rousing romp. The middle section offers a reflective mood, with visions of shimmering shadows and clouds floating beneath the moon. The concluding segment gives us visions of the massive structures found on the banks of the Hudson. Here is a large, impressive musical work that will find a significant place in concert programs around the world. Contains: Movement 1 (2:06) * Movement 2 (1:48) * Movement 3 (1:51).
