Description:
This potpourri was written especially for the "Wiener Operettenorchester" and was also performed by this renowned orchestra in 2007 in the "Metropolitan Hall" (Tokyo / Japan). The aim of the arrangement was to bring together the well-known fiery melodies from "Èljen a Magyar", the "Csárdás" from the opera "Ritter Pázman" (both by J. Strauss) and the "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 5" (J. Brahms) to form a great whole.
The version for wind orchestra should come as close as possible to the sound of a large symphony orchestra. The arrangement is available both in the original (AND. 00023) and in a key more suitable for wind orchestra (AND. 00024).
